"Businesses"

to help young people build their future careers...

My World of Work 2020 offers businesses an exciting opportunity to engage with the workforce of tomorrow whilst showcasing their business and the careers opportunities they offer.

Warwickshire’s My World of Work 2020 is an innovative careers campaign bringing businesses and colleges together to showcase the many sectors and career paths available to our young people.

Working with Warwickshire schools, the programme offers personal development to year 10 pupils across the county, with “work ready” workshops. Pupils will gain essential coaching on how to present themselves to employers, hold effective conversations, build confidence and identify what they personally have to offer the world of work.

The creation of CVs and participating in employer “meet the boss” interviews also features in the programme, creating a cohort of valuable young people for businesses to engage with.

If your business would like to attract new talent, or perhaps improve skills gaps, our dedicated My World of Work 2020 team are available to support you in exploring how you might take part in promoting the careers of tomorrow.

How can businesses get involved?

The programme features three key opportunities where businesses can engage with pupils and support the programme... please see timetable below.

Build relationships with local schools & colleges

Our dedicated My World of Work team will support you throughout the programme in creating interactive sessions, meaningful encounters and shaping events that meet your requirements and job roles. We will match you with a local school and college and assist in building relationships as well as be on hand to offer support, advice and guidance.
